This flat sided crank bait should be fished on a 7’ medium action rod with a fast retrieve reel. Use line that is sized to match your conditions, usually 14 to 17 lb and tick the grass or bump into things with the lure. If it hits grass, jerk it off the grass and hold on. The lure will account for many spring time catches. Use it around shad and look for spawning areas and catch the fish as they migrate in and out of those areas.
